#CoronavirusIndia: India has been battling an unprecedented surge in Covid-19 cases over the last few weeks with the country’s tally of new infections touching 3.5 lakh on average. In an exclusive interaction with India Today, experts give us a realistic expectation setting on where we stand in the battle against Covid. Global experts, who are specialists in modeling, bio-statistics, and experts who are looking at India Covid figures very closely responded to our questions and concerns. Professor M Vidyasagar, head of the National Covid-19 Supermodel Committee said, “If you take the nation as a whole, our prediction is we will see the end of the optic and start seeing a decline by the end of this week. But if we are to check as a nation, with all cumulative figures, we are either at our peak or are very close to it.”
The second wave basically started in Maharashtra. So, if we look at the map of India, we will understand that states, which are at the furthest, will have their cases peaking as well as declining at the slowest rate. Different states will have different trajectories.
