Balia – 3 journalists who reported question paper leak in 10th – 12th UP Board were jailed for allegedly leaking the paper;
Sidhi – a journalist was stripped and allegedly assaulted before being locked up. The pictures are now viral;
Balasore – journalist arrested by police on a complaint by a home guard was chained to a hospital bed.
We discuss if incidents like these are behind India’s low ranking in World Press Freedom Index. India has also been judged one of the riskiest countries to report from.
