RSS has been banned three times hitherto. first on Gandhi’s assassination, second during emergency and third time when Babri mosque demolished. ban on RSS was lifted all three times after adequate investigations. RSS sarsanghchalak M S Golwalkar and other top leaders were arrested when Mahatma Gandhi assassinated. but later all were exonerated after investigations. second time in 1975 when emergency were imposed then RSS top leaders were arrested along with opposition leaders and students. but later all charges against RSS were lifted by Janata govt. last ban were imposed on RSS in 1992 when Babri mosque of Ayodhya was demolished.
