A shocking case of medical apathy has come to light from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, where a free cataract surgery camp has turned into a nightmare for dozens of patients. Out of 30 people who underwent surgery at the New Rajesh Hitech Hospital on February 1, 18 developed severe infections. Tragically, for 9 patients, the infection was so advanced that doctors at AIIMS Delhi and other hospitals had to surgically remove their eyes to save their lives. Watch the video to know more.
