In a related security scare, Fortis Hospital Mohali received a bomb threat email on February 17, 2026, along with several schools in Mohali. The threat, claimed by a group mentioning Khalistan National Army and even Polonium poisoning, led to immediate anti-sabotage checks by Punjab Police and bomb squad. After thorough searches, nothing suspicious was found, and the threat was confirmed as a hoax. Security remains heightened around the hospital due to CM’s admission.
