CBI has registered an FIR in the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case following a written complaint from the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India. The case involves serious allegations of irregularities, criminal conspiracy, cheating, breach of trust, theft, and destruction of evidence under BNS, along with violations of the Prevention of Corruption Act and the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act 2024.
According to the complaint, NEET-UG 2026 was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on 03.05.2026. It is alleged that unauthorized circulation of exam-related documents took place before the examination, raising concerns over the sanctity and integrity of the exam process.
The CBI has initiated a comprehensive investigation to determine the extent of the irregularities and identify all individuals and entities involved. Special teams have been deployed across multiple locations for the probe. The agency has stated that it is committed to a thorough investigation to bring the culprits to justice.
