A fire broke out in coach B1 of the Hazrat Nizamuddin-Trivandrum Rajdhani Express while the train was moving through the Ratlam district in Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred early in the morning between the Alot and Luni Richha railway stations, which fall under the jurisdiction of the Kota railway division. A coach attendant noticed the flames and immediately alerted the ticket examiner and the loco pilot. The train was brought to a halt, and all 68 passengers sleeping inside the affected B1 coach were safely evacuated before the fire could spread. While some luggage was burnt, no casualties or injuries were reported. A relief and rescue team from the Kota railway division arrived at the scene, and the burnt coach was detached from the train. The passengers were subsequently sent ahead on another train. Railway authorities have initiated an inquiry into the incident, with initial reports suggesting that a short circuit might be the possible cause of the fire.
