A powerful explosion targeted Pakistan’s Jaffar Express near Chaman Phatak in Quetta, Balochistan, killing at least 24 people and injuring over 50 others. The blast occurred as the train, reportedly carrying Pakistani military personnel from Quetta to Peshawar, passed through the area. Several train coaches, nearby vehicles, and houses caught fire after the explosion. The banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility, calling it a ‘fidayeen’ attack carried out by its Majeed Brigade unit. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the incident, while rescue and security teams continue relief operations at the blast site.
