2008 के अहमदाबाद सीरियल ब्लास्ट मामले में गुजरात हाईकोर्ट द्वारा 38 दोषियों की फांसी और 11 की उम्रकैद की सजा बरकरार रखने पर, जमीयत उलेमा-ए-हिंद के अध्यक्ष मौलाना अरशद मदनी ने बड़ा ऐलान किया है।उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया है कि जमीयत उलेमा-ए-हिंद इस फैसले को सुप्रीम कोर्ट में चुनौती देगी। मदनी का रुख मामले से जुड़े कुछ इस प्रकार है
Following the Gujarat High Court’s decision to uphold the death sentences of 38 convicts and life imprisonment for 11 others in the 2008 Ahmedabad serial blasts case, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind President Maulana Arshad Madani made a significant announcement.
