The student protest over alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC recruitment examinations has intensified in Jharkhand. On August 10, a large number of aspirants marched towards the Jharkhand Assembly in Ranchi. Tensions escalated during the Assembly march as protesters attempted to break through barricades, following which police used water cannons and lathicharge.
