TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee’s office in Kolkata’s Camac Street was vandalised early morning. Banerjee alleged that a group of BJP supporters entered the office carrying weapons, attacked people, damaged furniture and destroyed electronic equipment. He also shared CCTV videos of the incident and questioned the Kolkata Police over the alleged delay in action. BJP has rejected the allegations and claimed that TMC staged the incident for publicity. Kolkata Police, according to The Indian Express, detained six people and began investigating the case after collecting CCTV footage. The incident has triggered a fresh political confrontation between the TMC and BJP in West Bengal.
