The Russia-Ukraine war and escalating conflicts in West Asia are creating a growing global oil supply crisis, with diesel prices in the US crossing a record $6 per gallon and Brent crude rising above $108 a barrel. Russia’s disrupted refining capacity, the Iran war and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz have already put pressure on global energy markets, while attacks and instability around Saudi Arabia’s East-West pipeline and the Red Sea could further threaten alternative oil supply routes. For India, one of the world’s largest oil importers, prolonged disruption could mean higher fuel prices, rising transportation costs and wider economic pressure.
In this video, we also look at why the US has revealed that it has weaponised space and why Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are pushing for independence from the UK. Watch the full video to understand how wars, energy routes and geopolitics are reshaping the world.
