Delhi’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) has flagged the electoral records of 33.13 lakh voters over “unmapped” entries and “logical discrepancies”. The list includes prominent names such as Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, former CM Arvind Kejriwal, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and former Deputy PM LK Advani. More than 31.63 lakh notices had been served by September 20. But the Election Commission has clarified that receiving a notice does not mean a voter’s name will be deleted. Voters will get an opportunity to submit documents and respond before a final decision is taken.
