A Hantavirus outbreak on a cruise ship MV Hondius has brought back memories of the COVID-19 pandemic. While the Andes strain of Hantavirus is known to spread amongst humans, it is more fatal than transmissible. There is no specific treatment of the virus and can requires intense critical care to save lives.
